In this chill atmosphere of winter at evening time with hot coffee or tea if we had something interesting and a snack with an ingredient which is already present in home and has been used in cooking on daily-basis. Then it will be different feeling totally. A snack which will create a crisp sound from mouth and also has a spicy taste. The name of the recipe is Onion rings. The preparation time i.i 10-15 minutes which is very less and will help us a lot more when we get a surprise visit to our home.please find below the detailed steps.
1) Onions – 5 (as per requirement.)
2) Red chili powder – 1 Tea spoon
3) Maida flour – 1 and half cup
4) Dry mixed herbs powder – 1 Tea spoon
5) Baking soda – 1/2 cup
6) Oil required to deep fry
7) Salt as per taste
8) Onion powder – 1 Tea spoon
9) Black pepper – 1/2 Tea spoon
10) Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
11) Mustard seed powder – 1/2 Tea spoon
12) Corn flakes – 1/2 cup
13) Coriander leaves – 1 Tea spoon (chopped into small pieces)
Preparation Procedure :
- soak the round shaped chopped onions in water for fifteen minutes then after remove them let them dry by removing from the soaked bowl and sprinkle a little bit of flour on them to fasten the onion drying process.
- Take a big bowl and add the following ones in it Maida flour , chili powder , mixed herbs , onion powder , mustard powder , salt . stir this mixture and allow it to settle.
- Add the baking soda for the above mixture and make sure that the current flour mixture should not be too much dry neither it should be light it should be rigid.
- Make round balls with hands using the mixture.
- Take a plate and add corn flakes powder , Bread powder , chopped coriander and mix all of them nicely. Heat oil to fry wait until the oil is heated to fry the onions.
- Once the oil is ready then take individual onion rings and dip in the flour which was prepared earlier with maida and also roll in the powder of corn flakes and soda until the onion ring gets nice amount of both the mixtures.
- The final step is fry until the onion becomes reddish follow the above two steps for all the onions that it the recipe is ready.
